Kathryn Davey x Pico Launch Party

We had a really special evening celebrating the launch of our collaborative range of underwear and handwoven towels dyed by the incredibly talented Kathryn Davey. We were so happy to share the collection with so many lovely people and it felt like a very atmospheric evening hosted in the chapel nestled behind St Margaret’s House in Bethnal Green. Ruth Eaton wrote a wonderfully evocative description of her evening which we have shared below:

I crossed the city on the District Line yesterday to meet @juleshoganknitwear at Bethnal Green station. As dusk fell we turned off the bustling streets of E1 around the Museum of Childhood into a little alleyway that snaked around a garden lined with classrooms of the local community centre. We heard music playing and espied a roomful of couples contentedly dancing together. A salsa perhaps. Tucked away at the end of the alley was the tiniest Victorian chapel, one of those secret places that cities hide in the folds of their skirts. And in this magical candlelit setting took place the launch of a new series of the softest cotton underwear you can imagine, and towels too. They’re made by @pico.goods in collaboration with @kathryn_davey and dyed in hues of soft pink and terracotta using plant extracts from the Acacia Catechu tree.
