We were first attracted to Jules’ pieces due to their timelessness and the beautifully subtle colours. I love how she states they are for people who like to make a quiet statement. It feels just that, to wear clothes that you know where they come from and you feel proud of their story. Jules’ work and commitment to mindful manufacturing celebrates the possibilities of the UK Textile industry, working with artisan kinitters in Scotland and the Lake District and sourcing wool from Scottish mills and cashmere blends and Irish linens from Donegal. Everything is beautifully made and hand finished.

Jules started out on a domestic loom at home back in 2010 and she did everything herself from the knitting to the pressing and finishing. Originally working as a knitwear designer this slower pace production with small amounts of yarn acted as a counter to the fast pace design world she was in. Now located in rural Shropshire her design studio is immersed in and inspired by its natural surrounding.

Jules’ has taken some beautiful photos of our ecru set with one of her Ponchetta’s with its lovely honeycomb texture and soft pink stone hue.
