Sanne began Atelier Hop as a celebration of making and in honour of her grandmother who used to make beautiful clothes for her when she was growing up. As a child she remembers her grandmother perfectly recreating the clothes that she wanted to buy from the shops. Sanne comes from a family of retailers too- both her grandparents and her parents owned shops and the influence of being surrounded by makers and retailers from a young age is clear when you see Atelier Hop. The store is decorated with beautiful dark wood furniture, soft embroidered linens and the fun pastels of Sanne’s tiered candles.

If you love and appreciate the handmade, this store is for you, selling naturally dyed yarns, hand crafted kids toys and quilts, and in the artworks category: illustrations, etchings and prints by various artists. Sanne really values the stories behind the pieces she chooses - selecting things for her store for not just their quality but for the process- for the work that goes into them.
